of Alberta's Rockies. This remarkable
town is located 143 km (89 mi) north of Hinton
and 183 (114 mi) km south of Grande
Prairie, and is accessible via the Big Horn Highway 40, which connects to

history which claims dinosaurs and influential Aboriginal tribes as some of its
early residents. Surrounded by wild rivers, picturesque valleys and magnificent
lakes and mountains, Grande Cache is the gateway to the remote and beautiful Willmore
Wilderness Park, which offers numerous opportunities to explore the great
outdoors. Tour this pristine mountain landscape on horseback, hike the extensive
network of meandering trails, ride the rapids on an exciting rafting trip or even
see the region from above on an interpretive helicopter ride…the possibilities
are endless in Grande Cache.
